The founding president of Electronode is Mr Patrice Favreau, expert in consulting and electronics.


For more than 25 years, Patrice Favreau has been working the field of electronic design, fulfilling functions such as analog or digital designer, FPGA expert, and systems architecture expert.

Since 2002, he is the owner of Electronode where his expertise in electronic design helps many North-American companies develop state-of-the-art technological products.  He is proactively on the lookout for new technologies to ensure the competitiveness of Electronode’s clients through internal R & D programs.  Electronode has established a culture that encourages innovation, performance, quality and efficiency when it comes to electronic design.

Previously working as a senior designer at Cognex, both in Quebec and California, Patrice Favreau designed the electronics of two generations of surface inspection systems.


He was involved in the acquisition of Mayan Automation in 1997 and in the acquisition of a division of Honeywell in Finland in 2000. He was the only employee transferred from Canada to California after Mayan Automation closed in 1999. In California, he managed to integrate the performance of a high-end system in a PC-style architecture to reduce costs by a factor of 10.

As the co-founder and vice president of operations at Netcorp Inc., a telecom start up, he designed the architecture and electronics of an Ethernet switch. In addition, he was in charge of the production and CAD departments.

Previously, he held positions as electronic designer in technological companies.

Patrice Favreau holds a technical diploma in Computers and Automation at CEGEP Saint-Laurent and is the co-author of 4 patents for inventions in the fields of artificial vision and haptics (the science of touch).
